From 12 to 31 May 2025, the TECHtonics team traveled to China for exchanges with standardization experts.
The journey involved visits to organizations from the public and private sector in Beijing, Hangzhou and Shenzhen, three of China’s most active standardization hubs. We spoke to more than 20 experts, who shared their insights about China’s path to become a standards-maker. Topics explored included standardization in e-commerce and telecommunications, among others, as well as international cooperations on standard-setting in academia, industry, policy and trade.
